President Tinubu urges public cooperation
In his remarks, President Tinubu urged all Nigerians, particularly those living in local communities, to actively cooperate with the country’s security forces. He emphasized that timely information and community support are vital to enhancing the effectiveness of military operations against insurgent groups and other security threats.
“I sympathise with the military over the death of the gallant soldiers and Brigadier General Musa Uba, who paid the ultimate price while on active duty fighting insurgents in Borno State. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten, and the nation stands with the families of our fallen heroes,” the President said.
He added, “As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I am depressed with the tragic death of our soldiers and officers on active duty. May God comfort the families of Brigadier General Musa Uba and other fallen heroes. Their dedication and courage exemplify the highest standards of military service.”
The President further called on citizens to support ongoing efforts to combat insecurity, stating, “Our security forces cannot succeed in protecting us if the people don’t cooperate and share information that will help them keep our communities safe. Your cooperation is crucial in our fight against these security challenges. We must work together to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians.”
