Social media commentator and critic, Very Dark Man (VDM), has reacted emphatically to a trending emotional video posted by Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, on Friday morning, which has since gone viral and sparked widespread discussion online.
In the video, Regina Daniels was seen breaking down in tears, openly sharing her mental and emotional struggles with her followers. The actress candidly admitted, “I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody.”
Regina Daniels’ emotional outburst draws attention
Beyond her personal anguish, Regina also addressed the ongoing situation involving her brother, expressing frustration over the prolonged detention. She tearfully said, “Every time I wake up, I say one thing — oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back.”
The rawness and vulnerability displayed in the video quickly captured the attention of social media users, triggering a wave of reactions and debates. Among the voices weighing in was VDM, who took a critical stance on the actress’s behaviour and apparent state of mind.
VDM accuses Regina Daniels of instability and drug use
After viewing the video, VDM stated that he now sides with Regina Daniels’ husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who had previously suggested concerns about her well-being. VDM described Regina’s behavior as “disorganised” and “incoherent,” adding that her speech and demeanor mirrored those of someone struggling with substance use. He said, “After watching the video Regina Daniels made this morning, now I believe Ned Nwoko that she is into drugs. She was so disorganised. She said a lot without saying anything. That is a typical drug addict.”
VDM further emphasized that those close to Regina should step in to guide her towards seeking professional help. He specifically recommended that she consider attending a rehabilitation center to address her struggles. He noted, “People close to her should advise her to go to a rehabilitation centre.”
Highlighting another part of the video where Regina’s mother appeared, VDM referenced her statement: “‘Ned tell the world what you did to that girl. Who lured her into it all because of fantasy.’ Regina is not stable. She shot herself in the leg with that video. She was not coherent.” According to him, the video unintentionally revealed deeper concerns about Regina’s mental state and overall stability.
VDM’s commentary has fueled further discussions on social media regarding the actress’s mental health, public scrutiny, and the responsibilities of family and close associates in guiding celebrities through personal crises. Many users have debated whether the video reflects temporary emotional distress or indicates a more serious issue requiring intervention.
The video and VDM’s reaction together have highlighted the challenges faced by public figures navigating personal issues in the spotlight, as well as the responsibility of social media commentators in addressing sensitive matters with care and accuracy.
