Speaking on Instagram, Zics Aloma highlighted that society often pressures men to marry once they reach a certain age, but he stressed that financial stability and personal preparedness must come first. According to him, entering marriage without being ready financially can lead to unnecessary stress and strain in relationships.

He shared a personal anecdote about the influence of family expectations on marriage decisions. Zics recalled how his mother called him on his 34th birthday to ask when he would get married. He noted that even though he is financially stable, he still feels unprepared, as he has specific goals for the life he wants to provide for himself, his future wife, and children.

“I remember my mom calling me on my 34th birthday, asking when I would get married. Even though I’m financially stable, I still feel I’m not ready because there’s a kind of life I want to give myself, children, and wife,” he said. This statement underscores his belief that readiness for marriage goes beyond mere finances—it includes emotional, mental, and lifestyle preparedness.

Zics Aloma also shared a cautionary story about a friend who repeatedly sought financial assistance and rushed into marriage without fully understanding the responsibilities of family life. The friend’s lack of preparedness ultimately caused strain, prompting Zics to distance himself from him temporarily. He explained, “He sent me an invitation that he wanted to get married, saying marriage brings blessings. Soon after, he told me his wife was pregnant. I took on the responsibility, but at some point, I had to block him because he wasn’t ready to be responsible as a family man.”

Through his message, Zics Aloma urges young men, especially those in Gen Z, to prioritize skill development and financial independence early in life. He emphasized that having a skill not only ensures a steady income but also prepares individuals for the responsibilities that come with early marriage, parenthood, and family life. According to him, proper preparation can prevent unnecessary marital stress and help build healthier relationships.

The comedian’s advice comes amid growing discussions online about the importance of financial readiness and responsible decision-making before marriage. Many social media users have expressed agreement with his perspective, sharing similar experiences and acknowledging that rushed marriages often face avoidable challenges.
