Human rights activist and political commentator, Omoyele Sowore, has launched a scathing critique of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing the Nigerian leader of being largely unaware of the country’s ongoing challenges, including insecurity, economic hardship, and the suffering of ordinary citizens. Sowore further claims that the president’s attention is predominantly focused on opportunities for personal gain, such as acquiring land, securing loans, and manipulating political outcomes to favor his interests.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) platform, Sowore outlined his grievances, emphasizing that Tinubu appears disconnected from the realities faced by Nigerians on a daily basis. According to Sowore, the president seems to engage only in matters where he can allegedly enrich himself or consolidate political power, neglecting critical national issues that require urgent attention.

In his post, Sowore stated: “Tinubu appears not to even know what’s going on in Nigeria, except where there is land to grab, loans to obtain and steal and using Nyesom Wike to cause confusion in preparation for his failed and dead 2027 ambition. At this point. #TinubuMustGo!.” This statement underscores his view that the current administration prioritizes self-interest over governance and public welfare.

Sowore also highlighted the alleged role of Minister Nyesom Wike in creating political confusion across the country, framing it as part of what he describes as Tinubu’s desperate and already failing plan for the 2027 elections. He warned that these actions contribute to further instability and public disillusionment, as citizens increasingly question the competence and priorities of the current leadership.

According to Sowore, the ongoing insecurity, escalating economic challenges, and perceived corruption within the government are symptomatic of a leadership disconnected from its people. His remarks reflect the mounting frustration among Nigerians who feel that the administration is failing to address the pressing needs of the nation and is instead preoccupied with personal enrichment and political maneuvering.

The activist’s statements have sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with many users echoing his concerns about governance, corruption, and political accountability. As political discourse intensifies ahead of the 2027 elections, Sowore’s outburst exemplifies the growing pressure on the presidency and highlights the urgency with which some citizens believe leadership reforms are needed.

Sowore’s latest comments mark yet another chapter in his persistent criticism of the government, illustrating how the political climate in Nigeria has become increasingly charged. Calls for transparency, accountability, and decisive action to address insecurity, economic stagnation, and public dissatisfaction continue to dominate conversations, both online and offline.
