Ned Nwoko’s Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, has set social media abuzz with a shocking revelation accusing her co-wife, Regina Daniels, of introducing her to drug use years ago — a move she claims nearly cost her marriage and reputation.
In a detailed post shared via her Instagram story, the mother of three narrated how her relationship with Regina Daniels took a dark turn six years ago after the actress allegedly encouraged her to experiment with drugs. Laila revealed that it took her husband’s timely intervention and strict insistence on rehabilitation for her to recover and save their family from breaking apart.
The Moroccan-born beauty made the accusations while responding to claims made by Regina Daniels that she had financially supported Laila at some point. Laila strongly refuted those claims, describing them as false and manipulative, insisting she has never collected money from Regina.
She challenged Regina to make her financial records public, suggesting that if both of them were to reveal their bank transactions, Nigerians would see who truly funds whose account.
“How dare you say that you ever gave me money, for what exactly? I am very contented with the provisions my husband makes for our family. We should show Nigerians our bank accounts to see who is paying money to our accounts.”
Laila also accused Regina of being a negative influence within their household, alleging that she introduced not only her but also domestic workers and even her younger sister, Destiny, to substance abuse. She claimed that Regina’s alleged drug and alcohol habits have been a major source of conflict between the actress and their husband, who strongly disapproves of such behavior.
“You also know that my husband completely hates alcohol, drugs, and smoking. He has always been clear that he would never accept any wife who drinks, smokes, or uses drugs. The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction.”
According to Laila, Regina Daniels’ refusal to quit drugs and alcohol has caused multiple family disputes, with Ned Nwoko allegedly warning her that such behavior was unacceptable in his household. She added that Regina’s influence was so destructive that she now forbids her daughters from spending time with the actress unsupervised.
“You know too well that I almost lost my marriage when you introduced me to drugs six years ago, and it was my husband’s quick insistence on intervention that rescued me from that dark path. You have been a bad influence since you married into this family — giving drugs to nannies and workers, including your younger sister Destiny. You infected everyone with your virus, and this is why I will not trust my daughters around you unsupervised, especially after I found out that you were sleeping with every single girl around you. Please go and sort yourself out. Seek help.”
