A young lady has become the center of attention online after an emotional incident outside the mansion of Nigerian music superstar Davido. The lady, along with a friend, reportedly traveled all the way from Benue State and camped near the singer’s compound for over a week, hoping for a chance to meet him in person. The story quickly went viral after a clip of her crying and pleading for attention was shared by social media user AsakyGRN on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, the lady expressed immense frustration and desperation, explaining that despite their long wait and dedication, Davido drove into his home without stopping to acknowledge their presence. She begged people online to help tag the superstar, desperate for his attention. She also highlighted the sacrifices they had made, including enduring hunger and dehydration while camping outside the compound.

She passionately narrated her ordeal, saying: “Guys, we came all the way from Benue, please help me tag Davido. We haven’t eaten or taken water. We’ve been here hoping to see him.”

In the clip, she was seen kneeling by the gate of Davido’s mansion, praying and pleading with his driver to halt the car, but her efforts were ignored. The lady held a large, customised picture frame she had prepared for Davido and called out to “Papa Imade” and “Madam Chioma,” trying to get the couple’s attention. Despite her efforts, the driver did not stop, leaving her visibly heartbroken and distraught.

Lamenting bitterly, she said: “They didn’t stop for us. We begged the driver, but he didn’t stop. We are at his compound, we’re at his gate. OBO, please… it’s over a week now we have been outside here. Davido, please look at the frame I made for you.”

Social media users reacted strongly to the video, with many expressing concern for the lady’s well-being. One commentator wrote: “This is obsession. They need rest and support, not this stress.” Another added: “People should stop camping at celebs’ houses. It’s not safe.” Several others emphasized the importance of Davido’s team checking on her to ensure her safety, while some questioned the lengths fans go to gain celebrity attention in today’s social media-driven world.

The video has continued to spark mixed reactions online, with users discussing both the lady’s extreme dedication and the potential dangers of such actions. Many urged that while admiration for celebrities is understandable, personal safety and mental health should remain a priority.
