According to Chimezie, the issue traces back to October 2024 when Verydarkman announced the launch of an NGO account dedicated to supporting educational infrastructure in public schools across Nigeria. The initiative received widespread attention and attracted several donors, including Chimezie.

‎Details Of The Lawsuit

In a viral Facebook post, Onwuka Princewill Chimezie claimed that he donated ₦50,000 to the project in 2025 under the belief that the funds would be used transparently for school improvement projects. However, he alleged that Verydarkman failed to provide adequate accountability for the donation, prompting him to seek legal redress.

He confirmed that his legal team has officially filed a lawsuit against Verydarkman at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, insisting that the matter be addressed by the justice system. Chimezie emphasized that the courts remain “the last hope of the common man,” expressing his frustration over the situation.

The activist’s post read in part:

“Following VDM’s failure to make a proper account for the money I deposited in his NGO account, my team of lawyers have sued him before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

I have no guns and bombs to coerce VDM to account for the money he lured me to pay into his bank account, I only have the court of justice, being the last hope of the common man.”

As of now, Verydarkman has not publicly responded to the lawsuit or the allegations raised against him.

This development follows shortly after the influencer’s heated online exchange with billionaire businessman Blord. The dispute erupted when Verydarkman accused Blord of allegedly selling a refurbished iPhone XR as a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro, sparking widespread conversation on social media.
