Renowned gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan has publicly addressed the alarming rise in attacks on Christian communities across Nigeria, expressing deep concern over the recent spate of killings and abductions in the country.
He took to his official X page to share his sorrow and outrage over the increasing insecurity, lamenting the loss of innocent lives and the seeming ineffectiveness of government security measures. Oyekan’s post has since generated significant attention online, sparking discussions among his followers and the wider public about the state of safety in Nigeria.

Kwara Church Attack
According to reports, armed terrorists attacked a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State on Tuesday evening. The attack left three worshippers dead and several others abducted, including the church pastor, creating panic and grief among local residents.
The assault on the church followed another violent incident in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, where suspected Boko Haram insurgents reportedly killed eight people on Monday night. These consecutive attacks highlight the increasing reach and coordination of criminal groups targeting civilians in Nigeria.
Dunsin Oyekan Speaks Out
Responding to the Kwara attack, Oyekan described the incident as “extremely cruel” and expressed frustration over the government’s handling of national security. He emphasized the need for justice and divine intervention to protect the vulnerable and hold perpetrators accountable for their heinous acts.
In his post, he wrote: “May the Lord judge the enemies of this nation once and for all in this season. These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82’1-8 is my prayer in this season. And we have a government abi?????” His words resonated strongly with his followers, who echoed his concerns about the rising insecurity in Nigeria.
The ongoing surge in violent attacks has sparked a wave of social media discussions, with many Nigerians calling for urgent government intervention to prevent further loss of lives. Citizens are increasingly urging authorities to adopt more proactive measures to curb these indiscriminate attacks and restore peace to affected communities.
Oyekan’s comments underscore the importance of spiritual and moral advocacy in raising awareness about societal issues, particularly when communities face grave threats. His call for justice and divine protection reflects the broader concern of Nigerians seeking safety, accountability, and stability across the nation.
