Nigerian activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has publicly advised popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat, to prioritize education despite his growing fame and online success.
Adeyanju’s comments follow recent controversy involving Peller, who accused his partner, Jarvis, of engaging in money-related misconduct. The activist stressed that regardless of social media popularity or financial gains, proper education remains a powerful tool that shapes character, improves reasoning, and ensures long-term relevance.

According to Adeyanju, Peller has demonstrated creativity and influence online, but formal learning will further refine his abilities and help him build a more solid foundation for the future. He explained that combining academic pursuits with content creation will not hinder his career but rather elevate it by giving him a stronger sense of discipline, deeper understanding, and respect in society.
Deji Adeyanju urges Peller to pursue law
Adeyanju went further to recommend that the social media star consider studying law, emphasizing that legal education would improve his analytical mindset and better equip him to handle complex societal issues, especially as a public figure who often participates in conversations around legal and ethical matters.

He noted that gaining admission into a law program requires academic qualifications, particularly a credit pass in Literature-in-English, and encouraged Peller to meet those requirements so he can excel if he chooses that academic path.
Reiterating the value of learning, Adeyanju said Peller’s online career and education can go hand-in-hand, stating that knowledge will ultimately shape his destiny and add real value to his life beyond the fame and money social media offers.
He wrote: “Peller should go to school. Education will shape his life and destiny. He can still be doing all the TikTok and making money but education will add real value to his life. Let me suggest that he considers a degree in law but he must get a credit in Literature in English first.”
